Preserving the dignity and quality of life for each of our residents.

At The Almost Home Group, our owner and founder, Kathy Hatfield, was inspired to care for people with memory loss by her own father. He lived with her in her home for seven years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and she decided to provide her father with mental and physical care instead of choosing a nursing home setting. Through this experience, she has received formal training in dementia and family care home administration, and became an NCCAP nationally certified Activity Director.

The Almost Home Group, Piedmont Triad, NC

Inspired to provide an alternative to locked Alzheimer’s care facilities and nursing homes, Hatfield opened The Almost Home Group. Residents come to live in one of three homes in the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina area and receive structured, personal care from loving caregivers, who, in teams of two (2) care for a maximum of 6 (six) residents. Our homes include:

• Perryman House—Built in 1950, this beautiful, well-maintained home features a large living room with a fireplace, piano, formal dining room, and bright sunroom.
• Lyman House—Named after Kathy’s father, this home has a screened-in porch, two living areas, and a formal dining room.
• Clinard House—This home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a formal living room, and an outdoor deck and patio.
