If your idea of assisted living matches the name – assisted – rather than the traditional take-over-and-do-everything, cookie-cutter approach of most assisted living facilities, you are in for a treat when you see what we offer here at The Almost Home Group. We carefully assess every new resident to determine which daily activities they need us to do, which things require just supervision, and which they can easily handle and prefer to handle on their own, so we can provide a customized approach. Our goal is to encourage independence and provide assistance only when needed so our residents feel at home.
Our environment also reflects that as we provide assisted living in private homes in the Winston-Salem, North Carolina area. Your loved one will be with no more than five other residents in a 3-bedroom home with comfortable common areas and other features that are similar to how they lived their entire life. This makes an easy transition whether they were living in their own home or in yours and now need assistance with various daily tasks.
You can turn to us for everything from minimal assistance to dementia and Alzheimer’s care, as assisted living is different for everyone. Every one of our caregivers is trained in all facets of assisted living care, including dementia care.
