Let us help you with dementia care that is personalized to your loved one’s needs.
Dementia care for a loved one is something that few families are equipped to successfully handle. Not only is around-the-clock attention necessary, but training in both the physical and mental challenges is needed. If you have a loved one suffering from dementia, here at The Almost Home Group, we are here to help. We offer a unique residence environment that makes for a smooth transition from their home or yours to one of our three private homes in the Greensboro, North Carolina area.
Our caregiver ratio is two dementia-trained aides for a maximum of six residents, so each resident gets the care they need and deserve. We encourage independence whenever possible, so your loved one will feel at home, respected, and comfortable. We have had formal training with dementia care, so we understand their special needs and how to assist with maintaining mental and cognitive abilities for reduced deterioration.
Our owner, Kathy Hattfield, has been where you are, having provided loving care and attention to her father with Alzheimer’s for 12 years. Each of our full-time and part-time nursing aides have been trained in dementia care, so your loved one will never be without someone who understands their issues.
It is our belief that those experiencing memory issues and other cognitive challenges deserve just as much respect and care as anyone else. We are committed to providing the personal attention each of our residents deserves while preserving their dignity and quality of life. We encourage you to contact us to discuss your loved one’s needs and to arrange a tour of one of our homes where dementia care is exceptional compared to large facilities or nursing homes.
