We offer a way for dementia patients to live in a home environment safely and happily.

In the past, the only choices you had for helping a loved one with dementia was finding a nursing home or lock-down clinical environment that would accept dementia patients or caring for them yourself. Caring for a parent or other loved one with dementia in your own home is stressful and a full-time job. You know you can’t leave them alone in their own home, but you may still want them to have the familiarity and comfort that a home environment lends. The solution is the residential homes we operate here at The Almost Home Group.

Dementia in Piedmont Triad, North Carolina

We have three properties in established residential neighborhoods in the Piedmont Triad, North Carolina area. Each has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and ample common areas, along with a caring staff experienced and trained in dementia care. Your loved one will feel completely at home as we’ve decorated each home in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s styles of décor that they will find most familiar. This makes transitioning from their own home more pleasant and less stressful and confusing for them. We maintain a high staff-to-resident ratio, so your loved one receives extraordinary individual care.

By focusing on dementia and Alzheimer’s patients, we can give the highest level of care possible to keep your loved one safe and engaged. Our homes are happy places with activities, visiting therapy dogs, hairstyling and makeup sessions, and companionship. We even allow our residents to bring their small pet with them. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call. We’ll be happy to give you a tour and answer all your questions.
